Finalist = STRESS

Ok. I entered this writing contest through PNWA thinking I would get a couple of critiques and advice on how to write YA novels. Not so much with the advice, other than "OH MY GOD! TOO MUCH SWEARING!" which is bullshit. Teenagers swear like fucking sailors. Hell, even sailors would be impressed. Anyway, now I am a finalist in the contest.

My first reaction was: OHMYGOD! I can't believe it thatissocool!!! Now, it's more like: Oh fuck. How the hell am I going to get the rest of the manuscript ready by August 1st?! Because to enter the contest you only needed to submit the first 30 pages. First 3o pages were fine. Good. Curse-ridden-inappropriate and fucking hilarious. Everything after those 30 pages? Not so great.

Now I have to try to rewrite basically 100 pages, while still following the outline I submitted with the contest, and I have to do it will my apartment is trying to cook me alive.

But I WILL do it. Because I kick ass. Literarily speaking.
