So I decided to make just a few little changes to my manuscript, not the big rewrite that I was kind of thinking about. The thing is, if I ever do get it published, an editor is going to go through it page by page and tell me what works and what doesn't. I'm thinking now that unless I hear back from a couple dozen people saying "you need to change this" I'm going to basically leave it the way it is. Then if my editor says "we should work on this part" I can be like, okay, that's easy.
The other part about not changing big stuff is that it means I'm almost finished with the editting. I should be done by the end of the week in fact. Then I need someone to read it over and make sure I didn't do something stupid like leave words out. I tend to do that.
And once I'm done, I can start on Simon! A brand new story with brand new characters and little to no angst! I'm excited.
