So, we had planned to go out today and get a new TV. Sounds simple right?
Wrong. Oh, how wrong that is.
First, if you buy a TV that is HD ready, you can't have just any cable, you have to have HD cable. Which I thought we had, because I upgraded our cable a few months ago specifically to get the HD crap so that we'd be able to make use of a new HDTV. Apparently, I don't have HD, I have just normal Digital, which is not the same. And if you try to watch normal TV on an HDTV, you can ruin your new TV.
So, then I called Comcast and was like "I need HD."
And they said "You just need a box."
"...No, guy told me, I need HD."
"You have HD, you need the box to view it."
What?
To summarize, TV buying is harder than it used to be.
